In-Tune, the Piano World Piano Forums Newsletter
In-Tune is the newsletter for piano lovers, and is a Piano World production. It comes out regularly, make that semi-regularly, ok... when I have time :-)
Much of the material for In-Tune comes from our world famous piano forums.

Speaking of Piano Forums Parties ...
~ Larry Buck (member # 8172) has graciously opened his shop to us for a Forums Party after our
tour of the Mason & Hamlin Factory on May 2nd.
I have a feeling it was our own TerryTunes (4288) who convinced him :-)
Details are forming here:
May 2 Forums Party, Lowell, MA
BTW If you planned on attending this years tour on May 2, make sure your name is on the list, and that you've sent me all the details I asked for in these posts...
M&H Tour 2007
And... if you signed up and can't make it, please let me know a.s.a.p. (alternates are welcome to sign up to take any spots that open up).
~ There's another forums party forming in NJ.
Member Saxguy (# 11401) is hosting a party at his home.
The Party includes a Bosendorfer 290, and a guest concert artist!

We've Lost a Member :-(
Unfortunately I have to report that we lost a long time member.
JimM (# 2524) became a member in Nov. 2002. He'd been active in the forums for a few years, and joined
us for our first Mason & Hamlin tour.
Member Rich Galassini (# 54) posted this information and tribute:
RIP Jim, we'll miss you
Attention: Professional Piano/Keyboard Musicians
We are still taking listings...
One question I'm often asked is "Who belongs to the forums?" . By this they usually mean,
what professionals in the business.
I've started creating a section on Piano World listing the professional piano/keyboard players who
belong to our forums.
I think it would be interesting to our members, and propective new members, and it would be good exposure for you.
Ideally I'd like to post your name, screen name, web site URL, and a short bio.
The primary criteria is that you make your living playing.
I might want to put them in categories, but that could prove challenging (concert artists, jazz pianists, rock musicians, etc.).
If you'd be willing to participate, please send the information to me, and make sure you
put Artist in Residence - Piano Forums as the subject line. firstname.lastname@example.org
Nora - The Piano Playing Cat
I know, I know... many of you have seen this, but for the new members who haven't...
Nora The Piano Playing Cat (It's a real cat)
This cat actually plays the piano, she even does a duet with a student. The look on the cat's face is priceless. I'm jealous though, she has better technique then I do.

Congratulations once again to some of our latest "new" piano owners (new, or new to you).
It always brings a smile to my face to read your posts, and see your pictures.
So, if you've recently purchased a piano, or are about to, please be sure to let us know all about it (and don't forget, we love pictures).

PW Forums - World Wide Audience
Another example of our friends from around the world...
Member Larry Buck posted that he and two other technician's are Visiting Belgium in May.
Three of the members who responded to his post were from ... you guessed it, Belgium.
Too often we think there is the USA, and the rest of the world. I'm very pleased that we have so many members and guests from so many other countries, and that they participate. I'm also impressed at how many of them have a good command of English, even though it may be their 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th language.
