In-Tune, the Piano World Piano Forums NewsletterSeptember 2008About "In-Tune"In-Tune is the newsletter for piano lovers. Much of the material for In-Tune comes from our world famous piano forums. I've spent most of my life (so far) living in New England. However, a couple of weeks ago I made some major changes, and moved to Southeast Florida (Pompano Beach)! This is all part of an effort to start a new life, which unfortunately means leaving one behind. There is always the possibility that I'll move back North some day, but for now I need to put my life together down here. You can read about the move down and see some pictures here.. Movin, Movin Of course along with the changes comes the expenses (lawyer, moving expenses, setting up in a new place, etc.). So ... if you are a fan of Piano World and/or the Piano Forums, your continued support would be appreciated :-). I will be looking to pick up some piano tuning business in the area too, so keep me in mind. Feel free to purchase something from our online store (www.PianoSupplies.com), or if you are in a piano-related business, Advertise on our site(s). For more options, see our Support page. And by all means, let me know if you are organizing a forums party/gathering in the area. I'm in the Pompano Beach/FT Lauderdale/Miami area, but I also have friends in Hillsboro, Cocoa, Tampa/St Pete, and Homosassa. And yes, you can still contact me via webmaster@pianoworld.com or the Piano World phone number (had it moved to a cell phone). I mean CPU, as in our new server is up and running now. It is an 8 CPU Sun Microsystem server with 8GB or ram. Costing us a bit more money to operate, but should help alleviate some of the bottlenecks we were experiencing, particularly when the forums traffic is heavy. There is a Thread About the Server here if you care to comment Speaking of numbers...We set a New Visitor Record in a one hour period: Our visitor record is now 4405, set on August 25, 2008 11:37 AM. Judging from the pictures and reports posted in the Maine Piano Party thread, the gathering was a rousing success... Pictures and Reports Long time member KathyK opened her home to a bunch of our members (many of whom I've known for years). Sorry I missed this one, but it was right after I'd moved and I just couldn't get back up North that quickly. I'll make sure I make the next one if they do it again. If you are thinking of hosting a piano party, please be sure to post about it here Post Your Party Info P I A N O T E Q
