The piano is a musical instrument. Tune it so it sounds musical and forget the math, theoretical essoterica, and illusionary perfection.

Didn't you mention that you use Audacity? If that works ok for you, then I'd have thought that's the best - well certainly the cheapest and just about the most flexible - solution to your recording problem. You've got unlimited audio tracks - stereo

Greetings, Yes, there is an improvement, (depending on what the piano is used for), that often is sensed when the unisons are less that perfectly aligned. This is due to the Weinrich effect, in which slight phase differences effectively stiffen t

Overall, I feel the tempo is a little too slow and the result is that the piece does not flow too well. The internal beats of each measure are sometimes too strong; I am too often hearing an accent on each beat, further impeding the natural flow of

I have a regulating tool with a thin shaft that fits easily between those dowels and into the space above. I can reach three jack adjusters from one position. I've had the tool for years, I think it was from Renner. To have the hammer down on the not

Pianovlover85, thank you for your questions. As an older adult, and very inexperienced, student, I have asked myself the same things. For all of you who have answered, thank you for your detailed responses. They have helped me greatly. I now just

It's difficult to reach the jack screw whether the action is on a bench, in the action cavity turned around, which is how I prefer to regulate jacks usually, or on your lap because of the design of this particular piano. Other grands are no problem.

There should not be a great deal of adjustments necessary if they were set up when fitted and nothing has been re-newed. I agree it's sometimes a struggle to get at the adjusters when everything is in place though. If they need lots of adjustments t

Hello keystring. Thanks for your answer. Yes, indeed, French uses do-ré-mi. I insist that my francophone students use this, even if they have done lessons in English before, and used A B C. It's important to be understood throughout La Francophonie

But Pete, you haven't described your own personal response to this acoustic piano. With you being an avowed advocate of the superiority of DPs, I'd be interested to know how you felt about it when you played it?

I simply cannot understand why they would design the action with the jack regulating screw behind a big letoff button on this particular brand, which makes it nearly impossible to adjust the jack. Every time I come across a grand in need of this adj
