Michael, I believe that it does. It's an old marketing technique which has proven to be successful. There are many shoppers with an Auntie who just loved here 'Such&Such" and will buy on that knowledge/reference alone.

Some sheet music I have just has the term With Pedal at the very beginning (below the bass clef lines)with no other mention of Pedal or any of the normal pedal related notation markings. I was wondering how I should treat this With Pedal direction ?
