Your piano is going sharp because the instrument has taken on moisture and the soundboard is expanding. It cannot "spread out" horizontally because the rims keep it in place. So it is pushing up on the strings causing extra tension. This

An even cheaper option for getting old and out of print books (which all of John Brimhall's books are, sadly) is alibris.com. That said, the books I ordered haven't arrived yet so I guess the shipping is cheap for a reason.

Made by Segerstrom Piano Mfg. Co. in Minneapolis. I doubt that there is (or was) a Queen of Minnesota so the Royal Patent reference remains obscure. I wonder if it is a Minnepiano.
