Hi all, Another thread in the ABF mentions the Hanon thumb unders (the Mozart K545 thread) but this thread that I'm starting discusses the thumb under exercises (32 to 37). I've been doing them, beginning no. 32 about 2 months ago and now I'm up to no. 36. With number 36, watch your hand(s) as it makes a graceful left-right or right-left rocking movement. I've noticed that it's getting much easier with the music I'm playing (particularly classical). It's coming out much smoother sounding now. Thus far, my fav. exercise of the thumb under variety is number 34 (passing thumb under the 4th finger), followed by 33 (TU 3rd finger), and 36. Before I even attempt no. 37 on a regular basis(which is a doozie!!) I will continue the other thumb under exercises until my hands "loosen up" more. So those who have done them, or are doing them now, what are your thoughts on the TU exercises?
