Mark, I just tried submitting a log for the first day of the new year, and it was recorded for 2007, not 2008. Is this because when I registered it was still 2007?

Regarding the PW Practice Club issue, the Year is still defaulting to 2007, so make sure you change that to 2008 before you submit... (also ignore the dialog box, it will take 2008 anyway)

BTW, I have decided that since it is my New Years resolution to start taking lessons, I guess its only suitable that I join IN on this MOYD '08 thing...

I'm in as well. I practiced yesterday so nothing lost and I think I can break the 1 day off a week by just doing repertoir.

Besides I like that snazzy little MOYD signature.

I signed up and put in my pieces and time but nothing shows up in data when I log in.

As for the practice log I believe its being worked on, but remember to use 2008 when logging times...

My time for 1 Jan 2008 didn't take when i did it yesterday but it took it today when I redid it, so my times show up as 2 Jan 2008 first and 1 Jan 2008 second.

Can anyone edit that and put it in chronological order or is it ok the way it is?

You can edit it. It allows you to change times etc.

I just checked your times...I see Jan 1 and Jan 2 both for 120

Was away from Internet for 2 days, but not away from piano :-) (though didn't have much time to practice; still I played a bit for family members, I guess that counts for practice)...

Question about MYOD: Does time spent at a piano lesson count?

MOYD has been a great motivator to sit down at the piano. I can't count the number times I've skipped practicing for a day because I just didn't know if I felt like playing. There have been a few days like that already this year But knowing that others will know if I skip a day has given me enough of a nudge to get started, and most of the time that's all it takes to get going.

The practice log has also been an eye opener. It's great to see the hours piling up.

Anyway, between MOYD and the practice log, I've already played more this month than I did in Nov. and Dec. last year. And while I have a long way to go, I'm noticing definite improvement.

So I guess I really just wanted to say thank you for putting together the MOYD challenge and the practice log. I'm learning a ton, and having fun in the process. Much appreciated.
