Well, I decided my current audio set-up wasn't going to cut the mustard for the online recital. So I invested $0 and borrowed a cable from my friend so I could connect the line-out on my Px-400r to my laptop. I'm pretty upset that I never did this sooner considering how simple it was and I feel bad because I made most of you sit through very horrible quality recordings. I'm just posting a VERY short recording to see if the sound quality is noticeably better than before--to me, I was absolutely shocked that my little digital could sound so nice. The clip is of a song by Gavin Degraw called "Chariot" if anyone wants to know (I played by ear, then transposed into another key). Now I have to get back to polishing up the "Solfeggietto" for the recital smile

edit: Sorry, I hadn't read the "Piano Bar" thread and didn't know you could post test songs in there, but this is only a short clip so...

Geek, sounding good as always. I have a PX100 and do think the Casio's are pretty decent digital's, especially for the money! Can't wait to hear your recital piece.

When I reach the place I'm going, I will surely know my way.

That sounded great Geek! There was a bit of hum in there - was the laptop plugged in, or were you running off battery?

I found that if I used one of those cheap adapters that converted a three pronged plug to a two pronged (ungrounded) plug, it removed all the hum from recording to my laptop. ymmv

Does sound good indeed, geek! I didn't hear the hum Bob was talking about until I turned my speakers way up.

Geek;

Sounds good on my end as well. Very clear and no distortion. Kinda almost a honky tonk groovy sound to the tune. I like it

Also, how about recording the entire song so I can post it in the piano bar?
