Hello,
I live in West London, and am wandering if anyone can recommend a piano teacher? Alternatively, what is the usual way of finding one? I am dreading approaching someone that just comes up in a Google search or on a piano teachers website. Do people have good experience in finding a teacher on the Internet?
Thanks for your help,
Happy Christmas,
Daniel

check at some site like this:

http://www.musicteachers.co.uk/resources/

or this:
http://www.uk-piano.org/piano_teachers/index.php

teachers would put ads on such site about what they teach and how much they charge and where they're located.

I'd recommend asking around in various music/piano shops. People who work there will usually be able to recommend someone, and I've found that there is often a selection of business cards for teachers as well.
