While driving down Beach Boulevard today, I passed by a piano store with ostentatious signs saying "PIANO CLEARANCE" and "CLEARANCE PRICES!" Now, of course, as a borderline-obsessed pianist, I had to go in to check out the pianos. I recently bought a Yamaha U-3 upright two years ago, but I went in to take a look anyway. As I walked in, I was flanked on both sides by beautiful grand pianos with beautiful sheen and beautiful polishings. I played almost every grand piano I saw (which was a LOT) and I fell in love with each and every one of them! It made me cry to know that I can never have them

I can't wait!!

Go for it. My piano is over 30 years old and sounds better than many brand new grands that I have played.

WOW! I wish I could travel to CA to go to that store. My grand shimmies when I play it. I love it, but I would love to buy a good, new/used one.

However the cost of having it shipped would probably put me in the poor house (do they still have poor houses??)..or I'd become a bag lady pulling a grand piano behind me.

I don't remember a piano store on Beach Blvd. when I lived in Garden Grove, but it's been a while (a VERY long while since I lived there, but a long time since visiting, too). What's the cross street?

Have you gone back to play them again? If they still capture your heart the second time, why not upgrade? What model/size grands did they have?
