The U-1 and I will be making the move next month. Parents are getting older, and it's time to be closer to them than in NJ. It's kind of like jumping off a cliff-but my heart tells me it's the right thing to do.
Anyway, I'll be looking for a new piano tuner and teacher so if anyone has any suggestions-let me know!

Welcome to Florida Fit!!!! I'm in Northen Florida so I can't help with tuner or teachers, however I think you might like Florida.
I'm here as well because of my parents and I like it although I wouldn't mind living in NC just for a change of season.

Hi Fits,
I grew up in central Florida (Atlantic Coast-Melbourne). Folks still live there and I also have relatives in Orlando and Tampa. I also used to live in New Jersey (lived in Cherry Hill & commuted to Philadelphia for work).
My mother refers to Florida as "New York South"...lots of folks from up your way make it down to Florida.
Don't have any suggestions for piano tuners but I did want to wish you well. Only suggestion I can think of at the moment is to go ahead and get rid of, sell, or donate your winter coats. You won't need them anymore.
