Tina,

Here's a left hand chromatic scale, starting on middle C and going down to low C with Electric Piano 1:

And a bit of Levitzki:

The second pedal would be your soft pedal, the una corda.

Ahhh, Levitski wink Thank you for posting this, Mel - very helpful. I'll compare your scale with mine when I get home tonight.
I ended up getting two FC3s. Should I have them both connected, or is there a different pedal that should have been included, that I may not have received? Please excuse my ignorance on this. I have a pedal on my upright that I don't even know how to use properly, as well. But, I have a bit of a lead foot with the sustain pedal!

Yes, plug the second FC3 into the jack right next to where you have the first plugged in.

It will work as a soft pedal.

Congratulations! I also have a P140 and I'm very happy with it.

Being able to play at any time you like no matter how late at night without your neighbours/family planning to kill you, is priceless. Digital pianos are the perfect solution for those who work all day and get home late in the evening.

You just have to put on your headphones and have lots of fun with it!

What's kind of funny is that when I first mentioned to my husband that having a digital piano would be great, he thought it was pretty silly. As it turns out, he, after not playing the upright for many months has played the digital every day since we got it. We'll see if he continues, but the kicker is that he just kind of putzes around and doesn't take playing very seriously, but he remembered every bit of music he had memorized! I find that fascinating because for me, memorizing is still not easy and a week without playing a given piece, my brain gives it the ol' boot!

My P140 just arrived the other week! I have an upright and a Clavinova, but I bought it to move to university with me because the others will not fit in my room... It meant a month without much piano, but it's really a reminder of how much I love playing when it finally arrived! I'm very happy with the piano, feels and sounds very similar to the Clav (CLP-240) which is nice, with the added benefit of it being portable and light.

Now I have three pianos, does that make me an official piano nut? laugh

No, I believe you can still qualify as a "nut" with just one wink
Just kidding ya - happy playing!
