How do I get my box net file into the May piano bar?
I want to post a duet with my daughter on the piano bar. We got it recorded in Garage Band, imported it into iTunes where supposedly it got converted from an AIFF to an MP3. I then registered on BoxNet and uploaded the piece. Whew! A lot for one day. Then, I looked in the FAQ and the important topics and then did a search for how to get a box net link into my message and maybe I'm just being dense, but I can't figure out how to post in the piano bar with our piece using box net. HELP!
Thank you, thank you.

Ok , log to box.net, do you see your song ? no - you have a problem yes - now do you see a little arrow when you pass the mouse over your song ? no - you have a problem yes - ok click on that arrow you will get a menu. then click on 'Get public link' a new windows will pop up with the address link. It's something like this. http://www.box.net/shared/tti99pqjzi Just copy and paste. I hope that help. Serge

Serge88 - Thank you. With your help, I did it, and posted it on the May Piano Bar.

OK, so now I have to figure out why, in iTunes, when I click to convert the AIFF to mp3, that choice is grayed out as though it is already an mp3 file. And, does this mean that when someone clicks on the link to my piece, they won't be able to listen? I'm sure this is not as hard as it seems, as soon as I get it all figured out. Thank you for your help.

RhondaLynne, I was able to hear it using Microsoft's Media Player. Does your "Garage Band" allow you to save files in other formats than aif? If not, you may wish to download "Audacity", which is free, or, another free sound file converter. MP3 is the format of choice for most computer applications and for most offline music players. Sounds like you had fun playing and recording with your daughter. She sounds like a budding pianist, too! Lisztener

Thank you for your help. [/b] You're on a Mac so maybe it is different but when I import music file in Itunes, it put the converted song in another directory and keep the original. Maybe you have 2 files with the same name, one in AIFF and one in MP3. Serge
