Great idea. Chopin - Prelude in E minor. I'm starting this next week (I think). My teacher said this should be easy enough for me. As I've only had 2 lessons so far (but self-teaching since January) I'll have to get back to you on this

Anything where you cross hands always looks impressive, even if it is really easy.

Heller - 30 Progressive Studies Op.46 no 11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaJL4rqtXng L'Hirondelle - Burgmüller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQhDujDosTo I remember reading a letter in Pianist Magazine about this topic. The Chopin piece and the Burgmüller one was mentioned. I'll try to find it and see what the others were. This was for a student who was a grade 3 or 4 if I remember correctly.

For beginners, Night Song from Alfred's Book II sounds harder than what it really is and was fun learning.

As a side note, you might want to remove those images, OG. It says at the top that this is copyrighted material, so posting it at all is already a violation of that.
Just a thought...

By that token, I'd say most topics are subjective and are very rarely factual.
I didn't believe I needed to specify the obvious in my initial post. Obviously, I'm speaking from your own personal point of view.

I found the letter.... This was a recomendation for a grade 3 student who wanted to impress. Burgmuller op 100 L'hirondelle & Ballade in C minor Chopin - Prelude in E minor op 28 no 4 & A major op 28 no 7 & C minor op 28 no 20. Originally posted by Oxfords Gal: Chopin Prelude in A Major Op 28 no. 7 [/b] This was in his list. I'll definitely learn this one but my favourite of the list is op 28 no 4. Concerning the images. It is not a copyright violation as it comes under "fair-use". It is clearly for illustrative purposes and isn't any more than sheetmusic vendors are allowed to show too. They must comply also so whatever they can do is a good guide.

Yep, thanks. Was under the impression it would automatically be a violation. Thanks for clearing that up.
