sharon--thanks---and i am in az---so it is the wild wild west:) i liked your disclaimer--thought it was funny like at the end of a movie, and yes i think mikes setup is way cool:) my friend had a regular iguana too--which to my dismay i accidently killed---the big one obviously didnt but the regular iguana had gotten out--she usually kept that one in a huge cage, well i opened up a kitchen cupboard and there it was staring at me,it scared me so i shut the cupboard---well i didnt know there was a hole in the wall---i told her when she got home to get it out but it was gone in the walls--you could smell it for months---wondered what the neighbors thought??? it was a duplex. i felt bad, i thought i had done good trapping it for her---just the opposite. i am just glad there are people who take care of them. it takes someone really special with alot of care and patience:)

That is one major league lizard, Sharon! Thank heaven, Mitch is much smaller...
Tho my daughter does let him run around their apartment- then tells us stories about how long it took to get him back in his cage 'cause he crawled under some piece of furniture or other....

Mike White - I really like your picture.
I think you're piano set up is awesome... so that's where the magic happens. Nice......

You look like a really together person (nice).

And that garden is sooo pretty.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

(And Rocky - thank you, Luigi, thank you, too) \:D

Mike: that is one FANTASTIC music room setup you have there, with the two pianos and beautiful green plants and all! I think if I were you, I would not be able to tear myself away from that room all day long. Though your beautiful garden must be a huge temptation, too.

sharon: Okay, you got me. I'm not going to complain about my 10-inch salamander ever again, for fear that the NEXT present my daughter drags home will be a 6-foot iguana!

markb: I agree with super-hunky; you're the master of the one-liner!

funburger: That's a terrific cartoon! Hang onto it, as I'm sure there will be plenty of threads in the main piano forum where that cartoon would be absolutely appropriate to post.

Which is the same length as my attention span.

But thanks!

kawai, cool pics. i love the dog, very cute!!!is that a shtzoo. i wasnt sure how to spell it. and wow canada is beautiful---no wonders all the canadians i meet are so nice!!!!its beautiful out there.
and for everyone, i am quite surprised at what everyone looks like i pictured monica to be like 20 something, sharon to be 50 something, and mr hunk i think you are exactly what i pictured. mr. luigi looks like a professor composer. the kilt guy...well he is missing his bagpipes:) its hard for me to remember all but everyone is so nice looking and am jealous of everyones piano--i am the one crying in the cartoon above--still waiting on it. i like the diversity of the piano players---i think this was such a great idea superhunky even though i hate posting pics of myself.

kawai, after seeing that pic of what canada looks like i think i will. we usually do trips yearly somewhere. 2 years ago we just travelled around the usa for 8 months, stayed in the hotels on the beaches and koa campgrounds. it was fun. i think a trip to canada would be fun, and not to long of a drive. about a day day and a half. i also heard in canada they have free health care. i thought that was cool to, when my friend told me that i was almost ready to go and sign up to be a citizen:)
copper thank-you, thats how i saw them. i also pictured more ugly piano players....figuring they want to stay inside and hide but i was very surprised with people their backgrounds and what they look like. some of them i wont tell you what i was expecting but i was wrong...i know you must have thought i was really big with a loud obnoxious laugh with that whole funburger thing====well, i just thought the name was cool.

Wow! What beautiful piano rooms some of you have. My big ol' clunker is sitting in what should be a dining room, but as we do not have dining room furniture... Well, it does make a good music room- piano, my Casio, and hubby's bass collection all fit very nicely with room for the dog and a cat or two to stretch out as well:

kawai exactly, its cool to be able to do that. i love all the pics. i also didnt realize how many of you have grands. thought that was neat to. as i hear so much about digital around here i pictured alot of people with those. irishmak i love the cute dog cat pic, that is too cute. love this forum. its too much fun. and monica i didnt mean any harm just with you saying you are drinking samuel adams---we used to have neighbors that drank that and they were all young and wild---your to distinguished to drink samuel adams---you look more like a wine drinker/taster:) you look more like a teacher motherly type. not the wild yound type i pictured.

Hey - I drink Sam Adams and I'm certainly not young and wild anymore. I drink a lot of wine too. Sam Adams is a lot better than most U.S beer so I applaud Monica if she guzzles it. I didn't know exotic dancers were big beer drinkers either. Boy, you learn a fair bit on this forum.

Mr. hunky i dont believe ya---maybe a nice dancer but definitly not a pole dancer!!!maybe even on broadway--but no not a pole dancer!!!
on another note: jon cool pic. do you play in a band?
tolovemoon, i know playing on these old pianos really sucks its cool your sticking with it!!! although i do love the sound of the older pianos the sound is so much deeper and warmer on them, but mine is so out of tune it sounds like i am at the circus so the waltzs sound really good on mine in the 2nd octave. i hope yours is in good playing condition:) because when they are the sound much better than most pianos made today.
glad we have all made the piano a journey and addiction!!!!i have been on the comp much to long today so i must get off of here and get some stuff done--or just goto sleep. i just got my laptop so i was really excited to use it today.

I have a dream ...

May we all together found a new nation ?

U.S.P.
United States of Pianists)

Think about this (just for fun)
How a wonderful nation would be, no war, only fun, peace and music.

Sorry, this is the begin of another working day, I hope you will have a nice day.

I am going to go to bed with this in mind to dream about it...Dreams come true, miracles happen, if you want it, it can happen! Music is so sweet and pulls so many together....In good, bad, tragic, loss, victims, happy, celebrations, ect. I would be lost with out it....If I had to make a homemade piano out of water glasses or metal pipes, perhaps strings and pvc with something for keys, I believe in my heart that I would make do with what I have where ever I am or what ever is available...
Yes the old piano plays ruff but I realize just how lucky I am to have it..
Heres to Hope
for a better future
with positive notes
we can take music on a adventure
Give love
share and rise above
music can really make the world go round...
