Well, I posted it long ago on Non classical forum, but no-one replyed. I have sheet music for Child in time of Deep Purple but in the first measure is only written: organ solo, without notes. Im wondeing if anyone have this solo or if anyone oould plink it out by ear? I would be very thankful! If you dont know the song HERE is midi version. And I know that left hand plays chords: G, G, Am, twice and then F, F, G - so I need only right hand. (and only the solo, before Gillan starts to sing) Thanks

Really thanks! I dont need timing, just notes!
Emmm, Finale Notepad? I dont know what this is really. But you can write them as letter or even better in treble clef. Mah, do what is easier to you. Thx again

Ok, I think I got something worth showing. I'm not too sure about the ending, I'm sure there is more than one note being played, but I only stuck in one. Here a link to a jpeg of the music I created: http://www.box.net/public/xeoq3tfng8 And here is a little mp3 of me attempting (slowly) what I got down: http://www.box.net/public/jcphbxvgjf ***Important*** - the jpeg file is not strictly correct, musically. Its only an indication of what notes to play. There are longer pauses, and also the timing is different. But its a good indication. Just pause after every bar!

Thanks, really! I listened to your mp3 and its quite good. I didnt start playing it yet, but if I would have any problems, I will ask. But really, thanks!! I would ˝kill˝ for having such musical talent as you have.
P.S. One unimportant question: Why: Child of our time??

I don't really have musical talent - I just sit down and work out the notes. If you want musical talent, head over to the Pianist Corner. Those guys/girls are really gifted! 2. My mistake, oops. Its not a piece I'm familiar with, so I forgot the name when I was printing.

Nothing, I was just thinking if its a mistake or ... I dont know. You dont have talent? Well, if you dont really have it, than its better for me to stop playing piano! Do you think that I didnt try to work it out? But I have problems even with simple childrens songs:(

Well, I think that recognising notes is talent, and playing scales good is training. IMO
offtopic: I recommend you live album Made in Japan.

Pian00b:
I cheat! When I'm having trouble picking out the exact notes and I can find a MIDI for the song I'm working on, I just plug the MIDI into Finale and like magic the notes appear on the screen. Saved my lazy hide more than once.
I do believe most of the better music software can open a MIDI to notation.
Finale NotePad 2006 is free from the finale website. while it is only a reader I'm sure someone would open the MIDI and send you a MUS file you could read with Finale NotePad, next time you get stuck. Sorry I was slow to get to this post. Glad The Scottish piano master could get you going.
LeadFingers
Ps If you want the MUS file I can send it to you.
