Congratulations, Matt on both your achievements, the 1000 posts AND becoming a pianist! I always read what you have to say & 'love to listen to you play. You just don't give a hoot what people think -- GOOD FOR YOU! BTW, I didn't know you were "a kid" until recently! If you ever need help with research assignments PM me! Daria Your new best friend

Matt, How can a 13 year-old kid have 1000 posts? You must talk...talk...talk all the time, eh? I'm just teasing. You are an exceptionally polite young man with a huge talent. I can't wait to hear you play Rachy. I wonder if I'll make it to 100 before you reach 2000. Good luck to you, young man.

Congratulations and good luck from me, too. Funny that you mention KV545 here, I just posted about it in your Fantasy thread. Someone posted this young lady in another thread, have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBfhkLaG8v4 Good luck! Patty

Congrats, Matt! I'm new here, but you've already taken time to assist me with the practice log - thanks for that.
I'm so new I didn't know what "KV545" was/is, but I sure like that young lady's playing. I'll have to look for posts of Debussy20's playing as well.
This is a great place, where even a kid like me (cleverly disguised as a mature adult) can grow! And yet not be too intimidated by the young in age.
Best to all....

Thanks, Matt, for all you contribute. Since we cannot see each other, these forums are truly without regard to "race, age, gender" etc. We're all just enthusiastic pianists! You are a valuable member here, even if in the real world you can't legally vote, drive, drink, or even quit school!

And here I thought I had a "big mouth." I had my 1,000 a few weeks ago (completely unaware that I have reached such an accomplishment). I guess we have either too little else to do, or we just can't live without this forum. By the way, my laptop is about 3 years old and two letters on the keys have completely worn off. They're the "c" and the "e" and the "s" is slowly disappearing. I can understand the "e" and the "s," but the "c"? Congrats!! Kathleen

Matt [/b] Matt, From your recordings, you play far too well to even consider quitting. As someone with a few gray hairs, I'll offer some advice which, as a teenager you're free to ignore With luck, you'll have a number of other pleasures, passions and challenges over the next 10-15 years with girls, schooling, career, etc., but you have only to read the vast number of introductory postings here of the form "I played for xxx years when I was younger then quit for yyy years and am now trying to make up for lost time" to see that those of us with a few more miles on the odometer wish we'd been able to continue playing through those other "distractions". So my advice is: keep at it. You may find your playing time ebbs and flows as other things enter your life but persistance pays off and this is a pastime that, like an old friend, you can keep coming back to. p.s. Congratulations on 1000 posts!
