Yep, make sure you do heaps of research before you make any purchase. Lots of reviews would be good.

Do you plan on doing an online course or getting a piano teacher?

I hope to find a good teacher

Learning from books is great but I really want to start an accelerated course in technique and sight reading

I am a recent new member to these forums as well.
It seems we have a lot of fans of FF music. I want to one day play the crystal theme and the opera song from FF6. *goes to check on the name* Hm, I guess it's just called The Opera Song.
This gives me the mental image of every one of your practice sessions being a battle with the menu options being:
>Quarter Note
>Half Note
>Eighth Note
>Chord Attack
>Run
Good luck on finding a good teacher and on your FF music goal.
(Make sure to hum some FF victory music every time you "defeat" a song)

Myself, I just finished studying Wind Crest from FFX-2 (though it wasn't written by Nobuo).

The key to becoming good is taking the time & effort to do a great job, but also to listen with your ears and feel the music. If you think you're able & willing to do these things, I have no doubt in my mind that after a few years, you'll be able to play that One-Winged Angel piece!
