As promised in the PianoForum here are pictures of our new (to us) Maeari grand. We placed a rug in anticipation of of our new piano and it was immediately occupied by our inquisitive little friends unmarred in the face of change. A portent of harmony? Set up, cleaned up and ready for action! The rug provided unnecessary dampening so it was removed. Obligatory 'Reflection in the lid' shot. I hate the flash on my camera but i love that view. It sounds better here then it did before it was moved. Can't wait for the tuning/voicing at the end of next week! Recordings to come soon.

Congrats! It looks wonderful! What kind of piano is it?
You may want to wait to get it tuned for a bit, if the tuning is OK right now. The piano technician at the music school I work at was telling a couple who was buying a piano that he had tuned the piano they were buying recently, and then he said it would be best to wait to tune it in a couple of months after the season changed, which he said would shoot it out of tune, anyway. I imagine this is even more true in Canada, and you don't want to get it tuned now and need to get it tuned again in November. Just a thought.

SRsystem, Congratulations! I love your furry friends... the cat is stunningly beautiful and the pooch is cute as a button. (I hope you put the rug somewhere else for them to enjoy. )
