In any case, they're really nice. [/b] Txs Ratman. The shutter speed for the Christmas light was using 1/25 sec and I did not use a tripod for those pics. I was actually surprised myself that the picture was not blurred.

Kawaigirl1, Nice shot of the lights! Sometimes I just shut my eyes and hope that when I open them I'll have a good pic. When I take a portrait shot, I always tell my subject: "You keep your eyes open and I'll close mine, deal?" They never fall for it and most times I get half-a-head with closed eyes...not very funny, huh? But why not? I see the pros do it all the time when taking shots of politicos or celebs. Course they're using Pro Nikons or BIG Canons. Live, learn, use a bigger gun to shoot, & hope, Lisztener

Oh Monster, that is a hoot. You guys are really good dancers!
Kawaigirl, I loved the shots. How big are the lights in the first picture? It looks like a canopy of lights.

I can never take pics of lights without a tripod and then bracketing the photo...nice job.

The photo of Santa and Mrs. is GREAT... love the bare feet...
My wife did that tree the first year we got the piano...when I came home from work it was up and all decorated... she made the garland and some musical ornaments..
This morning it's off to the mall, 21st annual Xmas eve shopping for my brother-in-law and me. Hope you all have a safe and wonderful Christmas...God Bless

Since I saw so many photos of lovely weather in warmer places, I felt it my duty to provide some contrast: Not that it's all that Christmasy, but it least it's a big ol' pine tree in a big ol' snow storm (which is why I've hardly been out of my house for the last week)in my back yard. I spose it could fall into the "White Christmas" category. It's a part of my Photoblog that I set up to provide motivation to photograph things other than race cars and hot rods (any kinda automotive subject, really.) It's a lot harder than I thought, trying to come up with something new and different all the time. Just this morning I noticed a burlap bag in my garage that had "Basmati Rice" printed on it. Since it just had rusty old bolts from a Model A Ford in it, I emptied it out and brought in into the house. I thought it might make an interesting subject. But a bit later. I have to go run an errand or two...and I'm not feeling all that great physically today. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Just as a side note, while I haven't been posting anything about my music lately, I haven't neglected it. I've spent a lot more time with the bass than the organ, though, although I've tried to get some organ-playing in every day...even if it's just to repeat what I'd been playing on bass with some chords added to it. The gift of music is one that I'll be eternally grateful for...and to think that it only took me 57 years to open my eyes to it. Duh. Merry Christmas, all
