A lot has happened here over the past few years. I'll update you.

Kawaigirl ran off with Seaside Lee. They eloped and are currently raising their 7 kids in the
U.K.

Listener simply dissapeared one day, never to be seen or heard from again. Not sure why.

Monica snapped at work one day after pulling an unsuccsessful all nighter attempting to learn Jim Brickmans Lake eerie Rainfall. She has since left her university proffessor position and joined a traveling circus. I think she's playing the accordian alongside a monkey with a hand cranked music box. Not sure though.

Irish-Mak is now the assistant to chef Ramsay on Hells Kitchen.

Bob Muir jumped off a bridge.

All the piano magic people split. Not really sure where they went either.

Gyro's still giving people all kinds of bad advice that makes absolutely no sense.

I've been asked numerous times to become moderator of this forum only to have the offer recinded about 5 minutes later. Again, not sure why!

The "which digital piano should I buy for $200 bucks" post has reached a new peak of being asked more than 10,000 times in just the last 6 mos. (New record).


The "I've got no motivation to play" type threads have actually been reduced over the past year. Last count was only 2,000 times in the past 6 mos. (Again, new record...low).

That is pretty much it. Don't forget, we have another recital in a month. How about whipping something up and submitting it so we can hear what you've been up too?

ROFL!! Actually, this is all true except for one minor discrepancy: In truth, the monkey plays accordion better than I do, so he handles the squeezebox while I turn the crank.

p.s. I actually picked up "Lake Eerie Rainfall" a month or so ago on the (delusional) belief that I may actually have progressed enough to be able to play it. Ha! There's just something about that fast tempo and syncopated rhythm that kicks my butt. Every. Single. Time.

Hi again y'all!! From hunky's post it sounds like I've missed way too much! One thing for sure, I'm still around and still playing the piano, although I can't say I've made improvement over the years. But I still love playing and I still own the Casio! It's been one great little piano!

I will try and and stop in more often, have missed listening to the recitals...such great talent all in this one little corner of the world!

Today I celebrate ONE year of restarting piano lessons.WOO-HOO! I bought my teacher a giant piece of cake and sent him off with it, ONE fork and ONE napkin, since he said it would be gone before he got to his next lesson.

Tonight we celebrate with ONE big margarita party!

I always planned to post my 1000th here, to embarrass Mr SuperHunky by never letting this thread die. I don't know... now that he's been allowed into the SuperSerious Chopin Recital people might take SuperHunky too seriously. Not to mention the recent admiration for his glorious house and piano room. It will all go to his head!

Hello, and good morning everybody!

I suppose it must be about 1 a.m. for many, but where I am it’s nearly 9!

I was just wondering what this long topic was about and why it was so popular and why I’ve never noticed it before. I’ve only seen it once. There are at least fifty pages I haven’t got time to read every single one.

Anyway, as you may not know, I’ve only posted 1 piece of music on the forum. Now, although twenty people listened to it, not one person left me a note to commiserate. So I withdrew it. I’m really not a very brave one, am I?

So I’m not sure whether to go to the shop today and play on the Grotrian Cabinet (they only have that one Grotrian grand) or just do some work and practice. The problem is we had a friend round last night (just one) and we were having a “piano conversation”. He asked us if we had one particular CD of one particular composer, to which we replied, “no, but we’ll play it”! And so we went on and on until 1 a.m., asking each other about the pieces we knew and playing every single one of them! So I fear I may be a little too tired to play decently at the shop. I’m feeling rather wan.

So I suppose I must go and do something now. I’ve not done one single creative thing yet today, except pour out my coffee.

But before I do go, I’d like to say just one last thing. You know, I’ve been coming here for nearly six weeks now – that’s one and a half months – but I’ve not had so much as one single official welcome from anyone. I've won no prizes and haven't received one "free Grotrian voucher" yet. Although I have had one or two very helpful replies to my various posts.

So what I’ll do is give you all, yes each and every one of you a big welcome and wish you one fantastic day!
