41/2 did not open up!! I signed up for it back in October, never said I wasn't going to do it, and just confirmed it again on DtC a few days ago. Sorry for any confusion.

I regret I will not be able to contribute after all - too much going on in life at the moment.

68/3 is now up for grabs. Good luck to everyone.

I think I can get 59/3 up to speed by 1st of March, so I'd like to take that one, but not all 3. \:D

My 7/3 is not really ready yet, but I hope it will by by 1st of March. If it (hope not!) happens that I won't manage, would it be possible to fall back to 3rd Mazurkathon in 2010?

This may be way premature, but if no one has claimed the 59/2, can I have it for the third Mazurkathon (March 1, 2010)? I haven't even started it yet, but if I get going on it now, by then I should be able to pull it off. I've really come to love it in the past few months.

If someone else is further along with it and wants to do it, I'll yield. But if not.... can the 59/2 be mine??

If 68/3 is still available, I think I could handle it. I might be able to work on it for March 2009 if need be, but I think it would be better for me in 2010.

I was glad to see one of the "easier" ones available!

I'm afraid 7/3 will have to wait for 3rd establishment of Mazurkathon. I have injured my right arm and won't be able to practice for some time, which makes getting this Mazurka to performance level in upcoming month an impossible task to accomplish \:\( I'm sad to communicate that \:\(

I have no idea - I have perhaps overworked myself during studying in front of my desk, resting on my elbows too much. My upperarm is tense and hurts during any stretching motions. It's nothing serious and it gets better day after day, but I'm trying not to overwork my arm during piano practice. This particular mazurka has some precise fingerwork to mantain clarity I can't manage right now. Thanks for your care!

Now that I've got my 7/1 in please put me down for 7/2 for March of 10. A whole year to learn it seems just about right.

Cruiser, have you prepared 7/1? Is it ready to record? If it is, please go ahead and send it in. I think the one recording for mazurka
"rule" can be suspended for a genuine misunderstanding.

...well, to be honest, I'm not really satisfied with my 7.1, having been preoccupied lately with a Beethoven Sonata and so I'm more than happy to let Peyton have 'sole rights' to this Mazurka and I look forward very much to hearing his, and everyone else's, recordings \:\)

Frycek:
I've been slacking off the past two recital (after living through 25/12 OCD for a year), and now I have another case with Scriabin's 8/12. So I think your mazurka push was a God-sent reminder to me that there is great joy in simple yet subtle music. I'll take 67/3 if you don't mind. Not sure if I can do it by March (I may have to get on a 2-week long business trip, and I haven't seen the scores yet), but I'll try - if not, can I still do it for the next one?

I really needed to get on to other things (like how in the world am I going to manage recording that nocturne by October?) so I've sent 41/2 to MR already, and I'm about to send it to you, Joe. I was hoping my husband could do some engineering on it, but that's not going to happen, so I guess it has to be OK.

It's also on box.net:
http://www.box.net/shared/ktgr5ss5h6

Mati, I'm so sorry to hear about your arm. I wish I could treat it for you.

Crusier, I for one would love to hear yours. We can compare notes. I too was not satisfied with my final version but then... I've never been satisfied with any 'final' version of anything I've played. I just couldn't decide how fast and how lively to play it.

Frycek,

I want to make 100% certain that my 41/2 is where it belongs. (You already know I'm obsessive.) I've sent it to you and to MR, and it's on box.net, so I shouldn't be worrying....

I heard Sadie's 63/3 today. Excellent!
