I'm back home and managed to practice every day except one when I had no access to a piano. I did listen to a nice piano player at a hotel for a couple hours that evening however :-).

Still putting those blue lines on the calendar. I'm particularly proud of myself today. I managed 10 minutes, which wouldn't be a big deal except I walked a half-marathon today, getting up at 3 am to drive to the race, set a personal best for the distance (slow time but great for me), got home, tended to feet full of blisters and sat at the piano, albeit briefly. As you might imagine, I didn't pick anything that required a pedal!

I'll be away for four days on travel. I've been steady until now.

This has been my most steady time away from work for a few days! I may even have the opportunity when I get back depending upon what's happening in the office!

Here’s my cinema…

9th feb back home late, continued to do some more work til 1am. I remembered but hesitated…its was very late already and I din’t wanna disturb others so I didn’t play. Anyway i didn’t sleep well either because this thing was not done. But I wake early morning to play and compensate for previous day and again play at night.

So am I still in or out?

My saving factor: I played whole day on 8th and quite often I suffer bad migraine, but I never stop playing.

I'm averaging roughly 90 minutes a day, but I work from home so it's pretty easy to do. I use my old "commuting" time for practice....

Have a great day everyone,

No practice as I was away from my poor lonely piano during a short trip to Texas from Sun - Wed. (I did play before going to bed early Thursday morning after arriving home at about 2am though) wink

I started out with great enthusiasm but I'm afraid that I need to drop out. I play for enjoyment and trying to play everyday is just stressing me. On weekends I usually practice 1 and a half to 2 hrs. a day but the weekdays are very problematic. In addition to a long commute (2 hrs. a day)to work, family (and I have a complicated family), volunteer work, I'm taking a class at night and have homework. My husband is always gone on business travel so I'm responsible for everything on the homefront, house, yard, bills, etc.(currently working on our taxes!). I think I need to go back to the practice pattern that works for me. But, I'll be cheering you all on.

Mark could you put me on excused, starting the 24 Feb I am gone for just over 2 weeks whatever that date works out to be. It is time for my wife and I to go on our annual winter escape, we are heading south to the Dominican Republic. Hopefully no nightmares flying over Florida like last year

I'm still here. Just haven't been on the computer too much except for grad school. Missed last night but have been practicing at least for 1/2.

I love this, I'm in. This is great motivation.

You can own a Chickering, Christifori, or Steinway, but if you can't play it.... It is just a piece of eye candy.

After 8 months of un-employment I have finally gone back to work. Over the past 6 weeks I have been putting in over 80 hours a week. Despite all the time spent at work, I still force myself to practice every day. Sometimes it's only 15 minutes but I still practice everyday. MOYD has given me the motivation needed. Thanks Mark.

Count me in. Like others have said, this is great motivation. Will be on vacation next week for four days, however. Look forward to this journey of discovery that is music.
