This custom search works much better than the built in one and allows searching older posts.

Hi everyone. New to PW, and proud that this is the first post. Had I known about this, I probably would have joined sooner!

I'm an adult beginner and have been playing for a year. I tend to do well with external motivation (I walk half-marathons only because I keep a detailed training schedule on the wall), so count me in for 2009.

I'm in! Michael, I'll race you to the excused list...I'm supposed to be on international work travel, and while there is a piano there, I can't quite figure out a way to practice on that day I lose over the international date line!
