Plays, very nice picture.
"To be a Virginian, either by birth, marriage, adoption or even on one's mother's side is an introduction to any state in the Union, a passport to any foreign country and a benediction from the Almighty God. -- anonymous"
BTW, do I qualify for the benediction? My grandmother was a Lee from VA (thus my name).

Help! I see photos all over this forum and I've tried to post pictures but have never been successful. Can someone help me with the procedure?
Thanks.

I'm shopping for a new one. When I buy one I like, you can see *that* one. This one's worn out. And I'm vain.

I had some thoughts of letting Jerry Luke pose with the Chickering which he can claim is his piano instead of that keyboard, if I can claim his face. See, we'll be twins and win-win. That is if he'll get rid of that silly riding hat.

CG- Pictures can be deceiving. I'm 5'6", 133 lbs. Not exactly an imposing figure. School kids STILL beat me up for my lunch money. (Ok, I'm kidding about that part, but the rest is true!) smile

Oh, and chicks (no pun intended) dig the riding hat. So far I've been called dead sexy, and dashing. laugh

Absolutely! My brother went to school with R.E. Lee V -- are you from that family? I was more outspoken when I was younger, and when my brother introduced me to Bob Lee I brazenly said to him "that's a really tough name to live up to." whome

BTW, I have an long string of ancestors from Massachussets.

to upload your photo, then a URL for it will be sent to your email. When using the full reply form, click once on "image" (below the reply form among the many other "instand UBB code" options) This will bring up a window where you can C and P the URL, and then in the post it will appear as a photo.

The only trouble is, the photos tend to be huge, so you might want to resize it *before* uploading. (Something like 640 X 480 as suggested by mxs)

Wow, I sound like a pro, and I only just figured this out yesterday! smile

BTW, miseenplace said:

Any space with a beautiful grand, *and* a classical guitar, is by it's very nature inspiring! And what is that mini-piano thing? Is it a little table? Very charming!

I assume it was a classical guitar. Do you play? What do you do about fingernails?

I agree with ShiroKuro. I liked it. It's cozy without being crowded. I like the lines of the modern furniture but in that sloped-walled cottage setting. I like the cabinets under the windows. And I like the low lighting for cozy evenings at home, but my only suggestion would be to add recessed lighting that is separately controllable so that you can dramatically boost the lighting just when wanted and sort of spotlight elements of the room, giving the room a definition of depth. But aside from that one thought, I quite like it. It looks like an artist's loft. Which would be my goal.

That reminds me, we haven't seen Zongora in a very long time with his wonderful music room and great collection of photographs... frown

Thanks guys and girls for the encouragement. I think it needs some color on the walls and if you can be here in person, the wallpaper is quite blah.

Shirokuro, I used to play classical guitar but stopped because of focal dystonia. I was officially diagnosed early Feb. I'm still active in the classical guitar community and sit on a board which focuses almost entirely on bringing classical guitar to Minnesota.

The little piano is Garrett's, who is only 20 months old. He's given up on that and wants to play the big piano now. wink

Nice pianos and piano spaces everyone! And, MAN! Some of your places belong in magazines!

Doug-- laugh I like your picture!

miseenplace--I like your physical space itself quite a bit, but if you find it uninspiring, perhaps you are right about a change in wall color...?

Okay, so I am finally getting around to posting a picture of me as well at the piano (as opposed to just the piano). So, here it is... A picture of me at my piano....

Yup! May 2, 2003. I thought about posting one of me w/ my husband, but figured he might not be too keen on that... So, it's just me... with my back turned, of course! laugh
