Well, I'm still practicing and I think I've been elected Mistress of Ceremonies by default so it's still on.

I was just wondering because a while ago, I'd asked to switch 33/4 to October 2008 and 7/5 to March 2008 and never heard back, but I assume now that that's just fine.

68/3 is now up for grabs.
I have to withdraw from the Marathon due to stresses of a move coming up in a few weeks, and pain from a shoulder injury in November that has noticeably become much worse in the last two weeks, both of which have severely reduced piano bench time and increased depression. (I still have a bit of neck pain although that decreased quite a bit with medication in the last 2 months).
I'm hoping to get back on track with lessons and practicing in February; however, there is just not enough time for me to get the Mazurka 68/3 to a performance level.
Looking forward to another Marathon in the future perhaps!

sleepingcats-
Please note that the recital is actually three recitals - the second and third are Oct 17 2008 and March 1 2009 - presumably things will be better for you by next year - why dont you just sign up for a later date

Thank you Schubertian,
I thought the easiest pieces were to be submitted for the first recital this March, with the other recitals being reserved for the harder pieces. I must have missed something since I hadn't been able to keep up with the forum. If I can put off the 68/3 till October, then I can do it - that gives me plenty of time to catch up!

Better clear it with the authorities first -

Apparently, being the only "authority" around, yes, by all means save 63/3 until October. I've done a bit of switching around already. The idea was to let people choose for all two/three recitals at once so there would be more time to prepare the harder pieces if necessary. They don't need to be presented in any particular order.

Would love to take part if there is still room. I'm not clear on how this works though, so if someone could explain it to me and give me an assignment (further out is better because my piano is in the shop), then I would love to participate . . .
