Hi everyone. I've enjoyed reading a substantial number of your posts since I found this site about a week ago. Many of the posts are quite inspirational.
I call myself a beginner but have actually been taking lessons for the past 9 years after a very long hiatus.
For the last 2 1/2 years I have been concentrating strictly on popular. Although I can play most any piece from a fake book, there is much I have to learn regrarding chord voicing and fills. So in that respect I am just a beginner.
A prior post mentioned the coctail piano CD's of Jim Haskins. I have all of them and are all most enjoyable. I would recommend anyone to get these who are interested in coctail piano. If you try and transcribe some of his arrangements you can learn a lot.
In any event, I enjoy all of your posts and look forward to reading me and hopefully contributing myself.

Hi JerryG! Welcome to the forum. Here in the adult beginner's forum we have a very loose definition of the term "beginner." Glad to have you aboard. smile
