I'd like to try 41/2. Are we limited, for 3/1/09, to pieces that were not played on 3/1/08? (And how come we don't pay any attention to his name-day, by the way? ) Elene

I would love to try 7/3, it seems accessible at my level, but it certainly is demanding. Would it be a big faux pas if I would possibly fail in achieving concert-level performance till March?

Mati, we are planning a 3rd Mazurka recital in March 2010 as well. Those are the pieces with "3" after them. I can put up down for either/or.

Frycek, I feel I can do 7/3 for March 2009 and I will do my best to do so. Except if anyone would love to take that Mazurka even more than I do - I am willing to let it go M.

Frycek - thank you for reminding us all of this. Ragnhild did not 'turn up' for her Etude, so maybe she doesn't frequent PianoWorld any more. I suggest if we don't hear from her within the week we should assume she isn't taking part. Mati, try to do it for March 2009 and then if you prefer nearer the time you can postpone it for the following year. Elene - we'd like to stick to ones that were not played last time, but we can always start again once they are all covered. Good point about his name day But it's too near his birthday (only four days later). Sweet Em - we celebrate Chopin's birthday each year with a Mazurkathon. You are welcome to take part; just write to Frycek and let her know which of the 'free' ones you'd like to play.

Dear Piano Again - no, not today, 1st March!!
I am still basking in the loveliness of your Etude - one of my favourite performances this time round.

Originally posted by Mistaya: 63.2 and 68.2 are polished and ready - 7.4 is underway. It's going to be a long wait. [/b] You can always go ahead and record them and if they're ready turn them all in for this next recital March 09. You don't need to wait until 2010. When they're recorded email them to MaryRose or me via PM.

Hi Frycek, It appears that you are missing a few posthumous Marzurkas. My Alfred edition has 57 total. Also see http://www.pianosociety.com/cms/index.php?section=127 for additional lists and scores (I can't get the recording to work, however). Rich
