Heh. It was just part of my Yet Another Piano Shopping Thread last year. I just happened to make a chart when others normally make a post to enumerate their findings.

I want to keep updating it so badly, but I feel bad going to piano stores I have already visited and asking to play without the intent to buy.

I did get to revisit my local S&S dealer this past weekend and he was gracious enough to let me play on their rental concert grands CD303 and CD484, the latter of which sounded amazing. My excuse when I showed up was, "Hey, I just dropped by to say hi and to see if you had anything in stock that is hard to pass up." Aside from the D's he's not allowed to sell at the moment, there weren't any unforgettable specimens.

Wow, looks like you've taken ALOT of time with this! Impressive.

I do it all the time...just like cars...take em out for a test drive, see how they handle. You never know when your opinion on a piano may turn out to be a sale. Stopped last night and played a K5 upright...nice piece and a 7' Kawia that I liked better than the Shimmel and Estonia...sorry folks.
