now, now; there's no need for that *sharp* tone in the AB forum. You don't want Phlebas to come after you, do ya?

We don't want Phlebas to go getting *dominant* or anything! Maybe he needs a gin and tonic!

Oh, ugh! Markb, I think you need to give us some comedy pointers from your improv class! ShiroKuro, thanks! Unless I do something, there's gonna be way too much of me to go around! VintageFingers, here's a jolly rancher. They are 70 calories for 3, but it takes about 15 minutes to eat one while playing the piano. That's a pretty good deal compared to something like chocolate, which takes about 2 minutes to eat and leaves a mysterious brown substance on the white keys: Cindy -- who likes the grape ones the best

Yes, but Cindy, that's going to rot your teeth! You can't be sitting swilling your teeth in sugar water for 15 minutes at a time with all your practice, unless you want to buy your dentist a new Beemer!

I like the cherry best and the grape least! You don't like the Em I do, I like Raindrop, you don't! Hmmm, it's amazing we get along so well! But we wouldn't fight over the Jolly Ranchers.

tk, you mention calorie loss due to practice. i have heard this before - and it does make sense scientifically - but does anyone know how many calories are burned by thinking? in Chang's book, he states that "playing demanding pieces requires about as much energy as a slow jog, at about 4 miles per hour", but i'm not sure that i believe that. i'm not sure i believe a lot of what Chang says, but that's a subject for a different thread

Translation: Everyone listen, This girl is thinking weird. Again I say, everyone listen. "Phat" is not the popular word anymore. All of you are crazy for thinking it is.

Cindy, what in the world is a Jolly Rancher? Does this have to do with "BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN"?

They are especially popular in doctor's offices and at the desks of receptionists. They aren't given out much at Halloween. They never spoil or go bad, unless you leave them in your pants pocket and launder your pants.

It's so the opposite with me. I practice so much sometimes that I forget to eat! And seriously, I used to struggle with my weight alot before I took up piano a few years ago, and now my mom says (and after looking in the mirror, I actually agree) that I am too thin. Like sick - looking thin. And I eat whatever I want, and I still lose weight. It isn't as wonderful as it sounds, though. For example, I bought a new shirt for a recital coming up. I bought it a few months back, and saved it till now. I just put it on for the second time (first was when I bought it), and what used to fit me perfectly, I now drown in! It's huge on me! So much for a perfectly good shirt!
I really don't know how to gain some much needed pounds. My legs are starting to look kinda like sticks all the way up with just skin over bone and a bit of muscle. And my watch needs another link taken out of it cause my wrists are so tiny now. And I was a size 12 waist 2 1/2 years ago when I started piano, now I am a 7! And I'm quite tall too, so it all combines to yucky thin, and I just don't know what to do! I even have cheek bones now, and I can't really where lowish cut tops anymore because of that bone sticking out across my upper chest. I think it's a collar bone? Ack...... help?

Or, blame SAS for her cookie recipe. No muscles in your fingers, just tendons. Anyways, why dont you just work out in your own home or maybe a treadmill?
So, you're a cannibal.
