Mark,

You cited "inability to make a commitment" as your reason for not joining MOYD. Fair enough, fair enough. But I'm wondering . . .

Have you missed a day of practice this year, or are you getting some sort of residual, spill-over practice pressure?

Uh oh.

He's stonewalling us, Jerry.

We may have to smoke him out of his hole. . . .

Alright, alright, you got me! I confess! I *have* practiced every day so far this year! But, I tell 'ya, I'm my own man, on my own schedule! I don't owe nobody nuttin'! [Editor's note: Except for my wife. And kids. And employer. And the mortgage company. Oh, and the bank for the car loan, MasterCard, daycare, utilities...] But I'll *never* tell ya where I stashed the loot!

I'd be interested to hear if there are other MOYD non-participants who are trying to adhere to MOYD principals despite not being officially enrolled. Truth is, I've tried to practice every day since re-starting lessons in September and have been fairly consistent. However, I'm quite sure I'll end up missing a few days here and there, and I wouldn't be able to handle being humiliated and embarrassed in front of all of PianoWorld.

And, uh, Jerry? Just *why* are you reading my SuperSecret message? Do you have proper clearance or a need to know?

The word "SuperSecret" is an automatic magnet for me to read it. Hundreds have probably read your secret message, but only *I* had the guts to make my presence known.

Ok, if you must know, I'm jealous because I have never received a "SuperSecret" message from Cindy. (Or anybody else...) I'm living vicariously through you. \:\(

Yes, I have arrived. When I joined PW in October, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd get a SuperSecret message from Cindy. Sure, I hoped against hope that, one day, I might check the PW forums and see a SuperSecret message--for me! And then, this morning, there it was! And from Cindy, no less! The adrenaline rush was exhilirating! But now, the only question is, where can I go from here? Have I peaked at the tender age of 37 and 5/6ths?

But Jerry, keep your hopes alive, little cowboy! Maybe, one day, you'll see your name in lights!

I would answer your query Mark, but then I'd have to admit that I read your SuperSecret message.

Oh, now I feel bad. Poor Jerry, his pockets stuffed with Chapstick, Blistex and Avon Dew Kiss, wanting nothing more than a SuperSecret Private Message . . .

Alas, I could never cough up a SuperSecret Private Message for Jerry now, could I? No, they lose their power completely if the recipient knows they are coming.

If it comes (notice how I said *if*), it will be a complete and total surprise. . . . And it will be worth the wait, too!

Cindy, could you at least send Jerry a PM? Maybe that'll brighten his day!

Well, Bob, maybe you could start a thread entitled "MOYD non-participants who are trying to adhere to MOYD principals despite not being officially enrolled" and then I'd never know that you read my SuperSecret message.

Well, you *do* give that impression in the CR...Besides, I didn't suggest what you should say in a PM. But since plays already Super Private Messaged Jerry, you're off the hook. (Although I'm sure he'd be glad to hear from you.)

Oh, I've got a SuperPrivate message for Jerry up my sleeve. Don't worry about that. It's gonna be a doozie, too!

No one posts SuperPrivate messages to me unless they're about bathroom fixtures. \:\(

Hey, Mark. We're gonna get thrown out of here unless we talk about pianos pretty darn quick.

Umm . . . I play the piano . . . \:\)

Hey, I've been thrown out of better places than this! Actually, no I haven't, so, uh--I bought a digital piano! Yeah, that's piano-related enough.

Jerry, BOLO (that's cop speak for be on the lookout) for a "doozie" of a PM from Cindy. I guarantee--you *won't* be disappointed!

Hey-I don't want charity! If I'm gonna get a PM, I want it to be full of substance, not fluff!

Have you ever met a woman who pits two men against each other, just for the fun of it?

That's me!

Hey, Jerry. Mark's ahead of you again.

I'm not SURE I want to climb inside this stone-crusher, but although I know the GIST of the meaning of MOYD I don't know the actual correct extension of the initials. I've been muttering things like "MindYourOwn...hmmmm" , BringYourOwn...no..", "MYPDblue.." and even "MoveOverYour Derriere" (a stab at a possible focus on duets) but nothing seems quite right.

Could someone help me out here?

Is it possibly Yiddish?

ISTYIA*,

Master of Your Domain.

It's the little practice motivation contest we're doing where we're trying to get to the piano every day.
