Hi everyone,

Five weeks ago I took my first private lesson in Piano and I really enjoy it (it took me 33 years to take the initiative but that’s a different story).

So now I’m able to play Bach’s Menuett (114) and Mozart Menuett -G (I do it quite well I think)

I wish to play Bach’s Gavotte. I heard this one (link below) on YouTube but couldn’t tell if this is a B flat or G Major (I really don’t know what the difference is).

So My question is this: Where can I get the music-sheet for this song? can anyone point to a specific webpage.

I don't have a page for the music, though. Your teacher should be able to point you in the right direction, and explain the difference between B flat major and g minor (same key signature!).

Is there any place (website) I should look for? any book I can buy?

Mine is in the Suzuki Piano Book Volume 4 , but really, ask your teacher and there's probably a more direct way to get it.

No, that's not the same one. I've played the g minor; very different!

There are so many dances titled "gavotte" or "minuet" or "polonaise" without more specifics; that's why I think you need to ask your teacher. Or get the Suzuki book, because I know that's the gavotte you're looking for.

The PDF link posted is in G major, so that's not it.

I know the piece you're looking for. The gavotte is from a Bach suite: BWV 822.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Even the IMSLP! In the collection of suites from 818 to 824, this one was the only one missing.
