I was wondering if anyone had any advice for practicing this piece:

http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=008sa4.jpg

I can't get the timing right. The last two treble clef notes in each bar never sound equal in length. The treble clef notes in bars 49-53 also never sound equal. My teacher said (you can see in bar 42) to hold the second last treble clef note while playing the first two notes of the triplet below, is that right? Normally I would ask her, but she's away...

Hi debussyfan,

Welcome to the forums.

There have been lots of posts on 2 vs 3 rhythms.

The tip I remember is to say Hot Chocolate.
Hot: both hands
Cho: left hand middle triplet
Co: right hand second eighth note
Late: left hand last note of triplet.

Hope this helps.

Rich
