I noticed that a lot of you use Box Net to share your music on the forum. So I went to their site, and see that 1 GB is free, otherwise there is a $7.95 monthly fee. If I don't use box.net, how would I post an MP3. The free 1 GB is not enough for an average size MP3. It's all so complicated - well, it probably isn't but being so new to the forum, not even knowing you could share your songs like this, and what with the recital coming up, anyway, does anyone have an opinion on this? Which I realize is a silly question.........
Edited to ask Why won't gremlins work when I post?

Thank you, Eternal. I like Box Net because of what you said. And thank you for sounding very patient when you pointed out GB and MB.

The one problem I have run into is that each file has to be 10 MB or smaller. So basically, you have to pay if you want to upload pieces longer than about 6 minutes.

I think box net or something similar (i.e playing without downloading) should be as good as compulsory for the recitals. I say this because theres been occasions (and im not proud of it) when I've not listened to someones recital submission because of having to download their song from savefile or a personal webspace. I'm guilty of that as well - usually it's too much of a hassle to first download a file, then find it, and then play it. It's just so much easier to click "Play".

We (Bob?) could even make a Box.net account for the recital and upload all the pieces there and then use one of their "widgets" to make a music player so that you can listen to all the entries from one page (although I don't think these widgets can show the additional information, such as the name of the composer, etc).

I frankly find Box.net annoying, but not as bad as some alternatives. I'd much prefer a simple link directly to the music file in question.
