If your goal is to use it as a self-examination tool, might I suggest a camcorder on a tripod? I have a small digital recording studio in my practice space which I use all the time, but I was at my parents house a few weeks back playing for the family, and my mother videotaped it.. Watching back, not only could I hear it, but I could see[/b] myself playing. I did notice some corrective measures I could take purely from a posture/hand position/movement standpoint.
