I just started the first movement "Allemande" with my teacher this week. It's such a pretty piece. She wants me to learn at least 3 of the 7 movements, so I'll probably stick to the slower ones. \:\)

SInce my next lesson isn't until next week, does anyone have any pointers on separating the voices for analysis, or maybe a link to a website that has the piece already picked apart? I thought I'd mark the different voices with a highlighter to help me analyze it. She said there are 3 or 4 voices. I believe the melody top line is pretty obvious, but in the bass clef, do I go only by the direction of the note stems?

Thanks for your help.

i would suggest learning the notes as a whole first... then go thru and separate the voices and familiarize yourself with them separately.. to start.
