Hi All,

We have narrowed things down in our search for a piano for my 10 year old daughter.

We like the Yamaha P22 in cherry. We feel it combines various aspects of both form (nice looking) and function (sounds nice and built to last).

Can anyone give me ideas what a resonable price would be on a new P22 LCAO? Our local dealer bought a bunch last year when they closed the Georgia plant, so it has been sitting around for a year.

Larry Fine puts the retail price at $5990 and suggest a 20% markdown from that. So $4790 seems OK according to the 08-09 supplement. Our dealer quoted $4400 so that seems reasonable. Just thought I would run things by all of you first.

So the question to all is:

Is $4400 a reasonable price for a year old, brand new, P22 in cherry stained oak?

Dave
