Can any of you guys give me some of the easier chopin pieces he wrote? The only one that I know of is Prelude in em. What other ones are there?

I recommend the Alfred Publication of "Chopin: An Introduction to his Works." It's just super.
It not only contains about 18 of Chopin's "easier" pices (but none of less beautiful and challenging) but also a CD of Valerie Lloyld Watts playing each selection. The total cost was only $12.00. A real bargin.
I've recommended this book before on this forum and have heard from several people who have purchased it and love it also.
This book will keep you busy for about 2 years or so (the difficulty range goes from 4 to 7). The prelude you mentioned is considered a 4. But there is a nice variety of pieces: waltzes, mazurkas, nocturnes, preludes...

Hi, vanityx3, the simplest technically are these at around grades 4-5:
Mazurka op 7 no 1 Mazurka op 67 no 3 Mazurka op 68 no 3 Prelude no 6 in B minor Prelude no 7 in A major Prelude no 9 in E major Prelude no 20 in C minor Waltz in A minor op 34 no 2
I hope you enjoy some of these. Don't forget to call in to visit the "for those totally devoted to Chopin" thread on this forum to tell us how you are getting on, and to ask questions if need be.

Great list, Maryrose. Here are 3 more to explore:
Wiosna (Spring), Op. 74, #2 Largo in E flat, Op. Posthumous Album Leaf in E flat, Op. Posthumous
You can find these in Jane MaGrath's Melodious Masterpieces, Book 2, published by Alfred.
