Played piano in a car dealer

Went to the local car dealership to pickup my new car. My wife and I were a half-hour early, the salesman was busy delivering another car and so we had some time to kill. There was a little grand piano in the corner of the showroom playing some generic Billy Joel thanks to one of those player systems.
We walked over to the piano. My wife, who started playing Piano back in January just like I did, mentioned that she had never played a grand. I was feeling bold since I was getting ready to hand the dealership a big check, so I leaned over, turned off the player system and invited my wife to sit down and play.
She played a couple pieces she knows and then I say down and played a couple of mine. The half-dozen salesman in the showroom eyed us a bit as we played and a couple of them wandered over. Obviously, we're beginners so we're not much to hear but it was the end of the day at the dealer and I suppose we offered the sales staff at least a little something different. I was happy to be able to make it through the easy version of the Entertainer, the best non-classical piece I know so far, with no mistakes despite the little audience. Needless to say, 30 minutes passed in a flash.
I love playing the Piano!

THAT is cool. That's what it's all about, I think.

Good for you. The salespeople were probrally entertained and got a charge out of it. We all need something to smile or laugh at in our day....I'm impressed and laughing just visualizing it. I love that kind of stuff....

Tut, tut, tut, you should have asked for a discount. After all you were providing them with entertainment. Gaby Tu
