If by "coming on board" you mean logging on today, it was Avalon from the Hal Leonard Jumbo Easy Song Book. That's where I ended my daily sight reading practice. The last practiced piece I played was Le Onde sometime last night.

I have just played Mussorgsky's "Promenade" from Usborne's Easy Classics.
I love this book, although it is aimed at children. It has some beautiful pieces, which inspire me to to learn the more difficult versions.

I'm working on an original arrangement of "Amanda" by Boston (the rock group). Since the group's sound used layers and layers of multi-tracked overdriven guitars and I'm using an MP-8 and a synthesizer my creation doesn't sound anything like Boston. Still I hope it'll be a lovely piece, eventually.

It's a new day, so now it's The Banana Boat Song, again from sight reading in the Jumbo Easy Song Book. "Hey, Mr. tally man, tally the ba-na-nas." Damn, now I'll be singing it all day. \:D

The left hand of the first page of Chopin's Revolutionary Etude.

(much, much, much slower than it is supposed to be played)

Billy Joel, Waltz #1 "Nunley's Carousel", Op. 2. I'm about 1/5 through it and slowing to a crawl around all those left-hand arpeggios \:\)

David Nevue's "Song at the Speyer Cathedral." It's great fun to play. Sounds like a Cannon. Almost have it memorized.

Pages 1-20 of the Hal Leonard Adult Piano Method, going through all the exercises and figuing out the teacher passages to brush up on my reading skills.

Then I spent a half-hour working out a solo piano arrangement for the cello passage in the Metallica instrumental, "To Live is To Die".

the last piece I ever played was Hog Town Blues by Oscar Peterson.Got through it with nary a slip-up and my fingers were on fire, knuckles were smokin'
That was two months ago, now I'm on Alfred's book 1 second page thanks to a nasty stroke. And I still don't like Alfred after almost 50 years...lol It sure is hard to relearn piano from the beginning, but nothing ventured nothin gained.

Allemande from Bach's Partita in B flat. I like it a lot better than the Gigue from that Partita, which was the second to last piece :p
