We now have an official registration page, and a page for uploading files. If you have already registered, and don't mind registering again (sorry), please go here... Registration Page [/b] [If you don't want to register again (oh, come on, I put a lot of work/time into these pages), I will try to copy your info. My thanks to Dave Young (our own Wldrumstcs) for creating the registration script, and Axtremus for his invaluable input. After you register, you should automatically be taken to the file upload page. This one took me a while to get working, so you better use it:-) File Upload Page [/b] On each page, you will also see navigation for searching submissions (or displaying all of them). This is now all stored in a database, so we should be able to do whatever we need with it. (Most of the data is just test stuff now, I'll clean it up later). However, there are some real Submissions Here [/b] Please try out the system, and let me know what you think.

For those who have uploaded their recording using Piano World's "File Uploader Page" above, please check if your recording is indeed listed in THIS PAGE (Click Here) . If it's not listed there, than I cannot see it. I identify you by your regular Piano World Forum name, so if you see yourself listed using another name for whatever reason, please let me know so I know who is who. (But if you've sent me CD and I've responded telling you that I have received your CD, then you're covered. ) Every one have a great New Year!

I have dial up and can't load these. I'm 48, and statistically have only 30 years left to live. I assume those who sent you an audio CD, like me, don't show up on this list. Right?

Axtremus and Frank,
I finally loaded my Joplin piece after many, many attempts (and, as my wife and I discovered, Comcast, our internet/e-mail provider, cannot handle large files as e-mail attachments, and so that's why you [Axtremus] never received the file).
As you can see on the submissions list, there are three "empty" entries (71, 72, and 73); 74 contains the file. I don't think I can delete the three empty entries, so feel free to delete them.
Thank you both, and I hope my recording is suitable for the CD project.
Kevin

Hi, Rami. I don't know if there's a new PW CD on deck, but this is the upload page I normally use for pictures and mp3's: http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/fileuploader2.html ... 5 meg file-size limit and it sends back an automated e-mail with a link to the uploaded file so you can test it. My experience is that it's a little silent on failure so if you don't see the success screen and/or get the e-mail its probably bad news. Like a file too large. Howard

Is the picture uploader really going to work for an mp3? Thanks, Rami

Here's an example of one I uploaded to the "Fazioli Live" thread: http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Kitten.mp3 If the path is different with the link you used, try pasting the filename onto the end of the path above. A little testing I did suggests to me that this site has some bandwidth stealing prevention in place... upload links don't seem to work if I read the confirmation mail message through a webmail/html or blog interface. But they do if I read it through a pop3 mail client like Thunderbird or Outlook. The upload links seem to be primarily intended for embedding in PW forum postings. So I usually test the links by previewing them in a posting. When on the road I tend to read my mail through a browser webmail interface and a trick that works for me is to copy the link and paste it directly to the browser's address line rather than clicking on it. Howard
