I am basically a classical pianist. I heard a performance of this song on PBS last night on a program about Rodeger and Hart. I had never heard of the woman jazz pianist who performed this song but after she played I felt like this is one of the most beautiful ballads ever written.

I know lots of places on the web to find free downloads of classical works but I don't know if there are any for jazz music. I'm hoping someone can point me towards a site that might have this song in pdf format or even email a nice version of it to me. I am dying to play this song but do not have th skill to make my own arrangement.

Many classical works are in the public domain; unfortunately, My Funny Valentine is still under copyright so you're very unlikely to find "free" sheet music for it. You'll find any number of books that include that tune for less than $20 on Amazon. Just search for "Rodgers and Hart".

This great standard has been performed by many including Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn which I also HIGHLY recommend listening to. Ella performed it on one of her "Songbook" albums.

Both these versions in addition to Anita Baker's are worth listening to to get different interpretative ideas which should help you in developing your own.

Coincidentally, I had my teacher play his version from "The Little Jazz Fakebook", a compilation of over 650 jazz and pop standards spanning the 20th Century, it was quite inspiring to me to the point that I am currently working out my own version of this, one of my very favorite standards.
