Hi, Well as they say, give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime. http://planetmullins.com/books/voicings.htm

It depends on whether you're playing Yamaha os the CW190...
Just kidding. This should sound just fine on the CW 190!

Second four bars of the head:
Gmaj7: F#-B-D-(G) Gm6: E-Bb-D-(G) F#13: Eb-E-Bb-(F#) F#7#5: D-E-Bb-(F#) B9sus: B-E-A-C# B7b9: C-F#-B-D# then A-Eb-Ab-C E9sus: E-A-D-F# E9: E-G#-D-F#
...somewhat close voicings (no interval larger than a tritone). Nothing Earth shattering but they should work.

GM7 - If you are asking for a G Maj7 - it should read G-B-D-F# for a close voicing in root position. A tasty way to play F#13 in the left hand try E-A#-D# then slide your thumb down a half step and get E-A#-D which gets you a F##5. Keep going in the next bar: B9-tryD#-A C# and then slide your thumb down a half step and get B(b9) D#-A-C. For E9 you already have the 9 in the melody so an E7 in will work E-G#-B-D.

Rob,
I just bought your book just out of blind faith. Your postings have always been helpful in the past and the price of the book seemed very reasonable. Since I don't have the book in hand, can you tell me how I should incorporate it into my studies. I'm a beginner of 1 YR. I still don't feel close to having the facility to play jazz...any suggestions on how to use your book, other than just reading it cover to cover.
