Thank you just made my week just love hearing Wynton go at it and those clips bring back lots of memories. I do seem to enjoy jazz from that period more than some of todays jazz something about the time from 1950 to 1970 when things just got crazy and everyone was exploring new ideas. DPVJAZZ

My jazz piano teacher (when I was studying with him several years ago) recommended Wynton Kelly as an "accessible" example, and encouraged me to transcribe what I could off of his solos.

There were others recommended as well (Hank Jones, Red Garland and Duke Pearson) but I'll always have an affinity for Wynton Kelly.

Thanks, rintincop...this is great stuff!

Wynton is the man. It's nice to hear his solos back to back like that!
thanks!
