I just got back from a John Williams concert. The Virginia Symphony played a lot of his music, and i must say he is a musical genius! Its hard not to like the songs he writes. Almost every one i heard i thought was better than the last. I don't know if anyone here has ever heard a symphony play his music, but it was awsome! There was one song that had a nice piano line, but i forget the name. Oh well, i had a great time though!

I am still haunted by the song I heard played on a PBS program. It was a piece composed by John Williams, symphony orchestra playing, never found out WHAT IT WAS!

Oh, I just HATE THAT!

P.S. Have you heard Williams' "Jane Eyre" soundtrack? In the movie the main character plays the most beautiful piece of music on the piano. It's the main melody/theme Williams wrote for the movie. The CD is quite nice.

P.P.S. If you have any particular suggestions for his music, please let us know. \:\)

anyone remember John Williams from that award show on CBS? [i forgot it's name, but i honors musical and motion picture pioneers, and it aired last month.] remember 'Sheindler's List' that Itzsac(sp?)Pearlman performed on the violin? and the 'Star Wars' theme the army band performed? i was glued to the tube.
i also saw a PBS special with him up there, and i think it was a contribution to Henry Mancini, and i have to say the show was great.
