For two years now I have been looking for an out of print piano book "Piano Winterlude" by David Huntsinger published by Word Music/Hal Leonard Corporation (1999). Anyone have an idea how I could find one? Thank to anyone who can help!

I didn't know a book existed. I have the CD and it is very good. I have several Huntsinger CDs.

Thanks for all of your responses--I have conducted more than a thorough search online--it did come through ebay about a year and a half ago, but I lost out on the bidding. I do have my request out there on the Ebay wish list...
I was hoping through the Piano World forum someone might own the book that no longer wants to have it in their collection and I could purchase it from them...I even emailed Huntsinger (no reply)to see what could be done.
Must not be meant to be at this time!

Originally posted by amylee: Hey, I did a search for it online, and everywhere I checked it was curently out of print and unavailable. You might keep trying ebay or used book stores online. It did sell for a while, so someone has to have a copy. It was sold for $14.95 and the sku is 309733 by Hal Leonard. Sorry I counldn't do more! Anybody else have ideas? Good Luck, Amy. [/b] ISBN-10: 0634040618 ISBN-13: 978-0634040610 The ISBNs may be helpful, but the book seems truly out of print. FWIW, there is another book, The Big Red and Green Book of Christmas Piano Solos, which lists David Huntsinger as one of the arrangers. It was published the year following Piano Winterlude.

I was on amazon.com for something else and found a way to "pre-order" the book if a vendor wants to sell it used--so we'll see if that produces any results!!
I may pick up the Red and Green Book on approval to see if it's got anything I'm looking for too...
thanks everyone!

This is a slim chance, but worth a try. Try contacting the publisher, Hal Leonard Publishing . The worst they're going to say is no. I've dealt in art publishing in the past and sometimes, not often, but sometimes, the publisher discontinues the product (i.e. out of print), which means they've either exhausted their remaining inventory and decided to no longer the market the item OR they've discontinued product, but still have remaining inventory. I wouldn't get your hopes up, but I think its worth a shot and a quick e-mail.

You can obtain a copy of the sheet music to Piano Winterlude by going to www.huntsingermusic.com and click on the contact option. This music is out of print but Mr. Huntsinger will supply a copy on request. I do not know what his fee is for this service but you will find the music well worth it. It was my good fortune to have purchased the book when it was printed. You will find that the music is written note for note as played on the CD.

I want to thank schottk for resurrecting this thread. I contacted Mr. Huntsinger and obtained a digital copy of this book. I read the sheets along with the CD yesterday and it looks accurate. In fact, there are a couple of corrections he made with a pen in one song that you can see. The price is $20 in case you are interested. This will get added to my staple of must play Christmas tunes along with Winston's December.

Getting schottk's message was a great Christmas music present. I purchased the digital copy and the transaction was very smooth. Thanks everyone!
