Alright, I really like San Tropez ( Take a listen here- the part I want starts around 2:20 (and goes basically to the end with the fade out), but it\'s a really good listen ) , and decided to start working on the piano part to it a very short while ago. Despite the fact I play drums, and have only slight piano background...

So I got to searching and actually found good enough chord progression for the verses in the song. (I found: G7M-Gm6-G7M-Gm6-G7-A7-C7-D). That all sounds good, although still have a few doubts on the last two chords in that... But that's not why I'm making this post...

So, what I'm looking for is a written-out part of the piano solo part in there, or anything else that could be of help (like notes mainly). All I know are the like the first seven notes of the solo- the G7M chord going down (G Flat to D to B to G). I'm thinking the next one is probably an E, followed by G flat to a G and to another G flat.
However, after that I'm pretty much lost... It seems like a fairly easy solo, nothing too fancy... But, like I said before, I'm no pianist, so trying to figure out these notes by ear is a pain the balls.

Can anyone help me out, or point me in the right direction? Pretty much anything would be of help...

Thanks in advanced!

If you don't mind waiting a day or 2 I'll have a look at it over the weekend and see if I can help a bit. It's been a while since I listened to Meddle.

I didn't end up having as much free time as I'd hoped so it's pretty rough.

Not sure what format you want so I did a MIDI file and notation. Hope this helps a bit.

Wow, that's amazing work you did there. That's what forums like these are all about. Thank you so much.

Sorry in my delay checking this, I'll give a shot playing it this weekend. Judging by the mid file, that is pretty much as spot on as possible. The reading will be challenging (mainly figuring the notes), but hopefully my brother's trumpet book, and my basic knowledge of the treble cleff will come in handy trying to figure out the notes/sight read/play that.

Thanks again, truly and sincerely.

Here is a version with added note names. I didn't check it so if something sounds wrong assume I made a mistake. \:\)

Alright, I've been working on it when I get the chance. And I must say, excellent work indeed. I'm up to measure 17 of the solo. Good work.
