I've played the La Scala transcription and I love it, but I think the Tokyo performance is even more beautiful.

The official transcription is so much easier to read than the hand-written ones. big thanks also to DDS24P&FOP87 for posting the original topic. What a cool arrangement.

I worked on Over The Rainbow for several lessons with my late great jazz piano teacher and he wrote out a variety of alternate changes that really put me into another direction of thinking. He used a lot of reharmonization and inner voicing techniques and other cool ideas. I still use his changes and keep playing it. After hering KJ's arrangement awhile back, I realized I hadn't played the tune for a long time, so I looked at my lead sheet again and got inspired to go over it

I wonder if Jarrett was influenced by composer Gerald Finzi's beautiful "Eclogue"? I have a score if need. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIS6mmvtu2k&feature=related
