Does anyone know how to legally buy a river runs through you by a korean composer, Yiruma? I have sevt eral teenage students who would like to include it in the Piano guild auditions. It is easily found on line and is always free, rules and regulations say that I have to have a legal copy or permitted copyright. Other than Hanmusic, I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?
thanks

If it's available online, it should be free and legal to download unless otherwise stated. Why else whould they make it available?

Quiescen, a lot of sheet music is available online because someone scanned it in and people share it, some may not even realize that the original score was copyrighted.

Yiruma is a contemporary artist, (i.e. he's not dead.) He composes and performs, mostly in Korea, so it wouldn't make sense for his music to be available for free.

Bluepianist, I trust you saw Monica's links. I ordered the scorebook when I was in Japan (a Japanese bookstore was able to import it to Japan from Korea for me.) If you have trouble, you might try asking a bookstore or music store if they can do that for you, or contact a store like Kinokuniya (a Japanese chain bookstore that has stores in the US.) The scorebook includes lots of other nice pieces, so it's worth the trouble.

Good luck.
