Anyone know of any great sheet music stores in these areas?

I posted this in another area too because I wasn't sure where to put it.

Music and Arts Centers (lots of locations, www.musicarts.com) and Victor Litz in Gaithersburg have a fair amount of sheet music. I don't know if they're great, though. The largest selections are probably at the various Internet sheet music stores. I think you asked about those before and got some responses.

I agree with markb on the music and arts center, but I have been ordering a TON of sheet music from www.sheemusicplus.com lately.They have all types of music. Anything from Elton John to Mozart. Its Great! It comes in about a week, and is always the correct music. I have been ordering from them for about 2 1/2 years now, and have not had a single complaint. They are probobly one of the best sheet music web sites out there. I'd suggest ordering from them unless you are in a hurry to get the music.

Fox Music Store in Arlington has everything.

I use sheet music plus also. I do miss being able to find good sheet music in stores, but they have been closing since around the late 1980's as far as I can tell.

It's just easier to use the web these days.

Hey PianoBeast, do you remember Noteworthy Music that used to be in Norfolk? That was a great music store...

My teacher said something about that a while ago,,she lives in norfolk. I never got to go though, mainly music and arts, and sheetmusic plus. I'm not quite sure where she gets her music now. Shes published by FJH Music Co. so probobly from them but im not quite sure. ill ask her exactly and maybe ill have a new favorite music store! Did that store, Noteworthy Music close, or did they just move locations? I would love to go there if its still there, or wherever it is now, cause i am always looking for new music.

Hey pianoBeast. I haven't lived in the Tidewter area for about 11 years, so I don't know if Noteworthy is there. I went there a lot when I was just learning the piano back in the day, and they had TONS of jazz instructional stuff.

It'd be a shame if it were gone.

Since my teacher lives down there ill check it out next lesson, which unfortunantly wont be till January 5 or around then. She has to get serious eye surgery on a detached retina, but next time im there i will definantly look!

Ditto to that. I posted that in the other forum. Best place IMO. Caters to everyone.

BTW, it's Foxes, not Fox. Fox is some place in the UK. I looked it up as Fox Music online and freaked because I couldn't find it.
